Writer, Director, Actor
Welcome to the official website of me, Jim Morton. Here you will find information about my life, my career, and latest projects. I sincerely appreciate your interest and involvement in my work, and I invite you to explore my site. Feel free to contact me via Facebook messenger or email with any questions or comments you may have about my work. Thank you and keep creating!
Please note: JPMortFilms is NOT a production company of any kind. I am not incorporated, nor is JPMortFilms. One day, I intend to create a legal production company under that name, but for now it is nothing more than my email address.
Below you will find films that I have either created or have been a part of.
Faces of Terror:
Created by Jarod Gianoni and Robert Fox
Jarod and Rob had a fun vision on what would happen if multiple classic horror villains were locked in a building with 5 teenagers. I was asked by Jarod if I would undertake the Direction of the Michael Myers section of the film, to which I gladly accepted. Thank you again to Jarod, Rob, and the rest of the cast and crew for a fun and rewarding experience.
Help Me:
Created by Jim Morton, Jeremy Mong, and Jesse James
This was the first film that I wrote and directed. The film is a short suspence/thriller about a man suffering from schizophrenia desperately searching for his wife who is being help hostage in their own home. Still images can be found in the gallery.
Both of these films can be viewed below. I hope you enjoy watching them as much as I enjoyed making them!

Past Events
Along with creating film, I have been lucky enough to have had the films be apart of local community events. Here are some of the highlights.
Faces of Terror Film Premier and Halloween Party
October 20, 2018
When we were discussing the best way to premier Faces of Terror, it didn't take us long to decide on a Halloween Party. What we didn't expect was the outpouring support of much of the community to make this event successful. The venue where we held the premier, Basement Transmissions, was also the place we shot the majority of the film. Nine local bands also volunteered to play before the premier.
Interview on the Film Grain Podcast
October 14, 2019
The incredible organizations that are the Film Society of Northwestern Pennsylvania and the Greater Erie Film Office were gracious enough to invite me to be a guest on their Film Grain Podcast. We discussed a variety of topics, such as screenwriting 101, what to do with your script once you've written it, as well as my own personal journey in filmmaking and promoting my latest film, Help Me. You can check out the podcast here:

Film Premier at Film Grain: Dinner and a Movie
December 4, 2019
As if me being a guest on their podcast wasn't awesome enough, the Film Society of NWPA and GEFO blew me away and asked me to premier my film, Help Me, on a big screen in front of a live audience as an opener to the movie they were showing that night, Alien. The film received an overwhelmingly positive response and Jesse and myself were given the opportunity to take part in a Q and A session afterward. The feedback was constructive and incredibly positive from everyone.
